Preserve the season’s bounty! Home canning requires knowledge of food preservation. In these introductory classes, participants will learn about botulism risks, overview of proper techniques, and review the proper tools for canning. Receive a booklet with tested recipes and take home a jar of your own canned product (except pressure canning class).
Prepaid registration required. $10 per person or $20 for all 3 classes in series:
Intro to Water Bath Canning: June 5 at Bear Creek Nature Center 10:00 a.m. – Noon
Pickling: July 31 at Fountain Creek Nature Center 10:00 a.m. – Noon
Pressure Canning: August 14 at CSU Extension 10:00 a.m. – Noon
