Pine Meadows Playground Replacement at Fox Run Regional Park

El Paso County Parks is excited to announce the replacement of the Pine Meadows playground at Fox Run Regional Park this summer! The new playground will replace the existing playground at Pine Meadows and provide several new fun features and enhanced accessibility. Construction is scheduled to take 6 weeks starting Tuesday, May 24, and will be completed in July 2022.

During construction, the first parking bay opposite the playground will be closed for construction staging. The other parking lots in the Pine Meadows area will remain open during construction. The Pine Meadows restroom, pavilions, and the Pine Meadows field will all remain open during construction.

El Paso County Parks appreciates your cooperation during construction, and we look forward to the improved, ADA-accessible Pine Meadows playground in early July 2022!

Bear Creek Restroom Replacement

El Paso County Parks identified the replacement of the restroom building in the 2014 park master plan. The new restroom will feature expanded restroom facilities and storage, improved ADA access, and will utilize energy-efficient materials and touchless fixtures. The design of the new restroom is currently under development and was finalized by December 2020. Demolition and construction began in spring 2021 with construction completed by fall of 2021. During construction portable restrooms will be provided for public use. The overall construction budget for the restroom is $448,000 and is being funded by $310,000 from the conservation trust fund, $63,000 from ballot initiative 1A, and $75,000 from regional park fees.
