VSQG - El Paso County Community Services

Beginning January 3, 2024 the El Paso County Household Hazardous Waste Facility is expanding operations to accept waste from Very Small Quantity Generators (VSQG).

VSQG criteria as stated in 40 CFR 262.14: “very small quantity generators of hazardous waste generate no more than 100 kilograms (about 220 pounds or 25 gallons) of hazardous waste, and no more than 1 kilogram (about 2.2 pounds or <1 quart) of acutely hazardous waste in any calendar month AND never accumulate more than 1000 kilograms of hazardous waste or 1 kilogram of acutely hazardous waste on-site at one time.” Categories include, but are not limited to: businesses, schools, chruches, non-profit organizations, local governments, and rental properties.

This is a fee-based program. Drop off is Wednesday afternoons by appointment only.

Program Information
Registration Form – This is a one time registration form that must be submitted to evs-epc@elpasoco.com
Waste Acceptance Form – This form is required for every appointment. It must be submitted to evs-epc@elpasoco.com no later than than close of business the Friday before your Wednesday appointment.
All waste brought to the appointment must be listed on the form. (Click here for an example)
